Exceptional service is much different from just providing a service or a good service. Exceptional service means going above and beyond what is expected of your average company and standing out from the competition. Consistently go above and beyond what’s expected by providing success stories, qualified referrals and testimonials about others. Stories are remembered while facts and figures are forgotten. If you can create an exceptional experience for a client, they will more than likely tell that story to their friends and other prospective customers who will in turn spread the word.
Action Item: Look at your past couple of referrals or new clients you just worked with. Were they return customers? If they are, why? If they are new, what are you going to do that would be memorable to that customer? Would they refer their friends and business associates to you? If not, why not? Don’t forget to get feedback. Whether feedback is good or bad, it can only help you grow your business.
